A new planning appeal has been lodged by developer Wates Homes following the decision by Hart District Council to refuse planning permission for the development of up to 700 residential dwellings, site for primary school and local centre, together with associated vehicular, pedestrian and cycle access, drainage, landscape works and provision of general open space at Pale Lane (Elvetham Chase development).
A public appeal hearing took place from the 8th January 2019. During the six day hearing, local residents and the Chair of Elvetham Heath Parish Council, Marilyn Robson, were among those who spoke out against the potential new development.
The outcome is still unclear. The Inspector’s report has now been sent to the Secretary of State for consideration and a decision will be issued on or before 6 August. When available, the outcome will be published on our website and shared on our social media.
