Part night lighting operations in most residential areas will commence from 1 April 2019 between the hours of 1am and 4am. Lights on adopted residential roads on Elvetham Heath will be turned off during these times as part of this initiative. As well as saving money, it is thought this scheme will reduce carbon dioxide emissions. You can download a map showing where part night lighting affects here.

This was approved by the Executive Member for Economy, Transport and Environment on 29 October 2018 following a two month public consultation earlier in the year. See the  details of the full report, and consultation results.

This only accounts for lighting directly owned by Hampshire County Council and excludes the majority of Parish and District Local Lighting Authorities or other third party lighting, such as Housing Associations, Highways England or Ministry of Defence.
